For the next few posts, I’m going to be highlighting various perks and benefits that are available to Pony Club members that you may not yet know about! Please check these out on the Pony Club website. If you want help applying for any of these, let me know.

The first one I’m going to highlight is the New Vocations Pony Club Challenge. This sounds really cool. Here’s what the website says:

“The New Vocations United States Pony Clubs Challenge is a joint effort between New Vocations Racehorse Adoption Program and the United States Pony Clubs, Inc. The project will launch in early 2017 with a demonstration included with the 2017 USPC Festival and the first competition taking place at Championships East 2018. Through a New Vocations administered application process up to 50 Thoroughbreds will be adopted out to pre-approved USPC members, or Riding Center Facilities. A stipend of $1,800 will accompany each horse to help cover expenses for the animal however the adopter sees fit. The final competition will include a variety of prizes and prize money and will be run as separate divisions of the existing championships competition. Following the competition, the animals may be kept by the adopter, or sold.

Those eligible to apply will include any Pony Club member who has attained a C-1 riding certification or higher, and facilities recognized as United States Pony Clubs Riding Centers. USPC Riding Centers applications must list one specific individual as the “adopter”. All participants must be current members in good standing of United States Pony Clubs, Inc. and must maintain a current Pony Club membership through the duration of the challenge.”

See you at the barn!
