TRPC – Meeting Minutes – October 20th, 2018

Secretary’s Report
- Minutes were posted online after the last meeting (18 August 2018); minutes approved
Congratulations to those who passed certifications! Thank you to Sarah Shade and Grace Romanick for being examiners. Review of Certification roles (Examiner, Impartial Observer, Candidate, Parent). Thank you to Hansen family for hosting Sarah!

Clinic with Sarah Shade
- Feedback – positive , people enjoyed her emphasis on rider reflection
- Review Bent Creek Farm usage fees
- No fee during 2017/2018
- Met in August 2018 to revisit this –
- During clinics taught by outside clinicians, $5/stall+trailer; $10/trailer for those who are not boarding at BCF
- If you use stall, bring your own bedding, strip it, etc.
- Stalls, paddock and rescue pasture available
Treasurer’s Report – Cami
- Financial Reporting System – TRPC is now on the new system! Should be much simpler.
- Annual report 2018
- Status of any payments due to club and/or reimbursements
- Final budgeting items were discussed
- Clinic prices my need to increase in order to more often break even

- Policies are now at National level.

BCF Mounted Lesson planning
- Planning for Oct 27 (Erin), Nov 3 (Andria) – start late, Nov 11, Nov 17 (Andria)
- Cornelia & Molly will work to coordinate
- Potential riders: Alex, Rachel, Evelyn, Sophie, Sophie, Charlotte, Hana, Amelia, Jean, Bibi, others?
- November through February – we will take a break from group lessons
Budget 2019
- Determine 2019 Sponsor Fee – $5
- Determine 2019 Member Fee – $80
- Motion Passes by consensus
Proposal of New Leadership Positions (DC-elect and Past-DC)
- Motion to create a new officer role “DC-elect” and “Past-DC”
- DC Elect will start in 2020
- Members voted Yes on new leadership structure
Nominating Committee and vote
- Chris presented the slate of nominees: Lara Marsh (DC), Cornelia Lang (Treasurer), Chris Sharp (Secretary)
- Members voted and approved the new slate of officers – congrats!
Tack Sale and Work Day
- Tack sale from 1-4 pm, drop off in morning at BCF, contact Chris with questions
- List will be on the whiteboard, but will probably involve the following:
- Weed wacking
- Power wash the feed buckets and water tanks
- Clean and condition lesson tack
- Fix gate
- Fence fixing
- Clean mirrors
- Spread magnesium & harrowing
- Walking tacos will be available with various members providing

Group lessons in October/November
- Cornelia will be coordinating the group lessons at BCF on 10/27 (Erin) and 11/3, 11/10 and 11/17 (Andria)
- Please let her know if you have preferences for lesson type, scheduling constraints, etc.
- She’ll be contacting people through the FB messenger group and email to set the schedule
